Carrie Underwood paid tribute to one of the truck drivers on her "Play On" tour at a concert in Connecticut this past weekend. He perished in an accident driving equipment to Carrie's next concert. After she pays tribute to him and his family, she struggles to make it through the last verse of "Temporary Home". See the video below...
When country star John Rich built his Nashville house along Love Circle, many called it the ugliest house in middle Tennessee. There were protests and complaints for weeks to the Metro Codes and Zoning departments, saying it also obstructed views. But a group called Flashfest contends the house's lighting is too bright and is disturbing the neighborhood. So, on Tuesday night, resident Nate Baker rallied about a dozen Nashvillians in support of Love Circle neighbors who believe Rich's house is unnecessarily bright at night. The protesters used flashlights and shined them in front of Rich's home. Some protesters said the protest speaks for itself. Now, the Metro Codes Department is going to investigate complaints. William Penn, assistant director of property standards for Nashville, said there are limits to how bright residents can light their houses. Rich has a couple of weeks to make sure it complies with city codes.

On the final concert of his tour in Charleston, SC, Brad Paisley takes a hard fall during his encore. After saying "Goodbye" to the audience, Brad spent the night at a local hospital. Don't worry, ladies; Brad's fine and home recuperating from some deep bruises.

Rascal Flatts is feeling the frustration after being overlooked again in the Entertainer of the Year category for the ACM Awards like they were for the CMA Awards. Jay DeMarcus sent out a tweet after the nominations were announced that said, “Thanks for all your kind words and support about the nominations… Awards are great but we make our music for YOU, the fans. Not our peers.” After being overlooked for the CMA Entertainer of the Year Award Gary LeVox told us, “Well you know, it does get a little frustrating when you sit out there and we’ve been headlining for five or six years and you look at in the middle of a recession we stood in front of over a million people last year. If numbers don’t matter … I guess they do to us, you know, whether they do to other people. But that’s a pretty big number and for us I think that would qualify as Entertainer of the Year…” Jay interjected, “Anybody would be disappointed to have logged the kind of numbers that we’ve logged and not be recognized for your hard work. Anybody! It doesn’t matter if you’re the Flatts, it doesn’t matter if you’re Kenny Chesney who got snubbed all those years. You would be lying if you said you weren’t human and weren’t disappointed to not be recognized." Jay also said after being overlooked at the CMA’s and losing the Vocal Group award to Lady Antebellum, it lit a fire under Rascal Flatts. Perhaps this latest snub will only add fuel to the fire. “I think we’re at a place now to where we’ve decided, you know what, don’t worry about awards. Just keep doing what we do, keep cutting the songs that we cut, and keep believing in the thing that brought us to the dance in the first place, and quite honestly, that’s great music. And that’s what our focus is. And our focus is to let people know, hey, you know what? Rascal Flatts isn’t going anywhere. We’re gonna keep working hard and we don’t expect anything, but we’re coming out swinging this year, we’re gonna punch some people in the nose, and we’re gonna try to take back what we feel is rightfully ours because we believe in ourselves that much.”

So, Leann Rimes and her boyfriend at the moment, Eddie Cibrian, made an emergency bathroom stop while traveling at a bar in Colorado. They found the bar to be so much fun, they hung out a while and Leann even karaoked, singing Lady Gaga's "Poker Face".
